Hello, I'm Andreas Krautwald. I'm a graphic designer with a penchant for typography and visual composition.
I was born in Fredercia, Denmark, where I lived and studied until 1999, when I moved to Strib, shortly before graduating as a mathematical student. Finishing 3.G with a Design exam result of 13, my interest in industrial and graphic design and architecture was naturally piqued.
An excellent six month stay at Krabbesholm Højskole confirmed my affinity for graphic design, and I chose to go to Hojer College of Visual Communication (8 km from the german border) to study. I graduated with a Bachelors degree in Visual Communication, and a final exam result of 13.
As a part of my studies I was an intern at 2Krogh in Århus where I worked with book layout and font-design. And now I'm back at 2Krogh, working as a graphic designer, doing primarily book-design and visual communication work.
Beside graphic design I spend a lot of time riding bikes (road-racing, cross-country MTB and flatland BMX), and messing about with music (more specifically dub-influenced Drum 'n' Bass, and Dubstep). More on this later. If you're curious to hear more, email Jah Bushi.
As is evident from my flickr page, I'm slowly developing a passion for classic cameras, and dream of one day owning a Hasselblad 500C of my own.2006, 2007: Grafisk Designer, 2Krogh AS

I speak danish as my first language with english as a close second, german as my third, and a tiny bit of french.
I'm proficient in the Adobe CS suite, and pride myself on being up to date on Mac OS X. I have user level knowledge of Mac OS X Server, networking and system administration. I make music in Reason, and know my way around Fontlab and the finer points of typface design. I can code XHTML and CSS and I believe in open source, standards compliance and usability. I specialize in typography and book-design, but my education at Hojer College of Visual Communication included strategic design, branding, communication and marketing.
I'm very serious with my work, I strive towards perfection. I have a strong sense of hierarchic layout. I care about consistency and user-experience. I'm an uncompromising critic of typography and layout. I use analysis and logic to understand and convey complex subjects and relations.
